Jessica,

He is doing much better today - he took some pepcid AC yesterday(per vet)
and he is fine today - no vomiting and much more active today.

For mothers day, just a few extra kisses from Cody will be good!

Deb,

I did manage to find the X-large Toddler Onesies(gerber) at a store here in
town and they fit so much better. It is a great idea for neutering/spaying or
for that fact, any surgery in the tummy area.

Here are some pictures of my Cody, he has more red in him than what
the picture actual shows - He is 6 months here.

Here are two pictures of Cody - he is 6 months in these pictures. He is actually more red than the picture portrays.

was 1 a.m. Went down to see what whas wrong and his onesis was completely off - I took him outside to go potty thinking maybe he really
needed to poop or something, but all he did was pee.

He is still trying to get to his stitches. I once again put on a clean onesis,
put him back in his crate and gave him a small treat and went back to bed;
about 1 hour later, he was whining again and once again, his onesis was
off - I don't know how he wiggled out of it, but I got a size 3T and the neck
part is 1/4 of the way down his back.

Anyway, I just decided to grab some blankets and lay down on the family
room floor with him - put his leash on and put the end on my ankle(can you
see that now) - anyway, he snuggled in and gave me lots of kisses, but Oh,
I just wanted some sleep - got a couple of hours - just like being up with a sick kid.

I am off soon to look for another article of clothing that will work better. I
am thinking of a kids sleeper(summer fabric) with the zipper, that I can turn
around and have the zipper up the back. I may have to cut the leg and arms
off, but I think this may work better than the onesis and I should be able to
get a bigger size - I shall see - and I am going to try and catch a cat nap
today.

I am hoping I don't have to do the floor sleeping thing again tonight and I don't want him to think this will continue after he is feeling better. Poor little
guy

*~* Linda,

I can totally relate & empathise with you on the recovery labor aspect of the operation.

** I am so glad that I only have to go through this...once. I hope that this will be the one and only surgery that both my girls will ever have to endure.

Glad to hear your boy is feeling better Linda. You must have been a wreck worrying about him! Now (hopefully) you can catch up on all that sleep you missed!

Cody is back to his "young self" and hardly trying to lick his incision anymore.

Thanks for the sentiments.

I'm glad to hear that Cody is doing better! I had my Banjo neutered last Thursday (the 11th), and I have to admit that I gave in and just slept with him on the couch on Thursday night. The poor little guy was so confused and he just kept waking up crying - I couldn't put him in his crate. (I'm a sucker.)

Banjo seems to be doing really well now and he's pretty much been ignoring the incision. (*crosses fingers*)

Lisa,

Okay, will be thinking of Mazie - the first night will probably be the hardest
for her and you, but all should go well and she should be feeling pretty good in
a couple of days.

Heres for hoping surgery goes well!
Heres to the pups who are feeling better!

Heres to having some time left before I have to do it! I can see me with all my dogs that first night camped out on the living room floor! You guys have awesome ideas to help prevent the licking. Tinker was fine but Belle had to go back in and get more stitches and then had to wearthe collar. She is my girl with all the problems though so nothing new for her.

Keeping all the pups, and mommies, in my thoughts!

Penny

Thanks for all the well wishes. Mazie seems to be doing good - she isn't even bothering the insicion...yet (but I am keeping the onesies idea in mind in case she does). It was so strange to see her so quiet and subdued on Wednesday night...she could hardly hold her head up, she was so tired! But on Thursday morning, she was back to her playful self...

Glad that everything went well.

I had to use the onesie because Cody was constantly trying to get at his
incision.
