I have never spoken to a vet or a pet products supplier here in New Zealand who has recommended Advantage over Frontline though they all sell both. There must be a good reason why your vet went for Advantage. The cheaper cost doesn't work out that way. A Frontline application lasts my Taylor four months - so I only buy a three tube pack once annually.

I think the only reason he recommended Advantage over Frontline was pricing. I believe either product is equally effective.

But I was also interested in the Advantage "Multi" which takes care of heartworm and intestinal worms too. I don't think Frontline makes a product similar to the "Multi" version of Advantage. Anyway, we got a 2 year supply for $74.00 (USD), which is really affordable here.
