First Day at the Beach

Westin's very first trip to the beach!
=D He had so much fun running around.
I think it was a really good thing that this dog park is a lot smaller than Marymoor, so I didn't feel uncomfortable letting him off the leash the whole time because I could always see him. But towards the end he was doing SO well with "come." There are a couple pictures up, but not many, he is so difficult to take pictures of because he moves around so much! He was DESPERATELY trying to herd a couple of the dogs there (you can see the pictures) but he had no clue what to do! So he'd sneak up on them with a belly crawl and then FRAP around them in circles! And everyone looked at him and just laughed (dogs included!). He and Gary (the Rottweiler) are a week and a half apart (Westin is older) and they always have a lot of fun, but NEITHER of them were getting near the water, so we thought it was funny when they were playing with some other dogs and one of them rolled Westin over into a wave that was coming up! He was SOAKED! Overall, it was fun, Westin was exhausted on the way home and crashed after about 15 seconds in the car. But we will definitely be going again!

Those pictures are cute, cute, cute! I know what you mean about trying to catch them while they're in action. I have several "landscape" pictures...no dog.

Sounds like a great time was had by all! Westin looks very happy.

We love to take Byron to the beach - the more dogs the better. Plus it's a great place to play ball.

This weekend we are planning to take Fergie for her first trip to the beach. From what we figure she has never seen the ocean having come to us from West VA. We'll be taking her to a place that is fairly isolated (no nearby roads) so hopefully we can get some off leash time. We'll see....
