The old formulas are also in the "archived" files and can be pulled up at dogfoodanalysis.com. Don't know how long they keep archives.

Silly me! I didn't even think to look there! I would imagine the archives would be "forever."

Update.

I called Canidae and they said the new formulas should be in stores by Thanksgiving.

Also, I've noticed the original formula has changed slightly even the color seems a bit lighter. Whatever the change my dog loves it a whole lot. In the meantime he'll eat this until the grain free formula arrives.

Has anyone had any problems with their corgis getting the itchies lately? My Chip has been itching like crazy off and on for awhile and I am wondering if it is possible that it could be the canidae although he has been eating it for well over a year. Maybe the changes?

Charlie has been chewing his feet lately. He did the same thing late last summer/early fall until the weather got cool enough to make the grass and weeds dormant. I'm assuming his problem is a mild contact allergy that will go away again with cool weather.

Did Chip have any itchies this time last year? It might be the food change if you haven't noticed anything with the seasons. hmmm....or maybe changed any household cleaning products lately? Is he itching all over or just certain parts of his body?

I've just started feeding mine the "new" Canidae. They haven't shown any problems and am keeping my fingers crossed that they don't.

Chip has been itching mostly this past month and it is on his pants area. Maybe where he sits sometimes outside. I am thinking of getting him some benedryl and see how he does for a couple of days. I am also going to ask Pet Partners about the new canidae and see if they are planning on stocking it.

Do you mean the back of his legs, or his bum? Is he chewing back there or skooching (sp?)...dragging his rear? Could be food, contact allergy, or compacted anal glands. If he is dragging his rear on the ground to scratch, his little glands may need to be expressed. If Benedryl relieves his symptoms I would suspect a contact allergy. I'm not sure if Benedryl would bring any relief for a food sensitivity or not. If the Benedryl doesn't help, you might try a different food for two or three weeks to see if he's less itchy.

On several other of the corgi lists there has been mention of a lot of itchy corgis. Contact allergies seem to be common this year. Some reported cases of itchies on the Canidae new formula, also diarrhea and other upset tummy symptoms.

Bonnie do you have Ragweed by you? and Ragweed produces a lot of Pollen My vet said that he has noticed an increase in itchy dogs this summer and said that just like in humans, allergies can crop up anytime.

Cody was chewing on his paws about a month ago, but it has gotten better now; not sure what it was because we have not had a hard frost yet where anything would have been killed off.

This time of year is tough with ragweed, goldenrod and a host of other weeds all in bloom - Dillon has allergies to all weeds, grass and trees and this time of year tends to be tough. He is on medication for his allergies and does fine most of the spring and summer but i have noticed that even on the medication, at this time of year he does get more itchy. maybe chip has a mild allergy to the pollen...

there sure is ragweed around us. In the field next door there is a bunch. Chip met me at the gate sneezing tonight. I will probably have to take him to the vet's if he doesn't stop that itching. It is strange though, he mostly itches at night. Poor Dillon - give him kisses from me and the Chipmunk's. These corgis will make us old before our time worrying about them.

Do you think it might be building up on him during the day? I think a couple of members have written about how they have had to wipe their dogs off because of contact allergies. Might be worth a try.

Not painting a very good pictire of Canidae just lately.
A Corgi owning friend of mine is thinking of switching her Corgis to Canidae. Must tell her to keep away from the new fomula if that is possible.

Yes, unfortunately the more reports I read from people using the new Canidae ALS, the more negative reactions seem to be coming up (although quite a few people have had no problems with the switch). I think their new grain-free product may be worth a look...someone mentioned they should start shipping next month I believe.
