Good news - Chip will do just fine - both mine were microchipped in the office without anesthetic - it's a quick pinch and it's done. Bet you can't wait to have him home!

I'm glad to hear he is doing good.

Before you know it, Chip will be running around the house chasing his favorite toy. I was amazed that Mazie was only down the night of her surgery. By the following morning, she was up and running around the kitchen wondering where her breakfast was.

I brought Chip home about 4:00 today and he peed a gallon when I first set him down outdoors. Then I put him in his crate and he drank some water and has slept on and off all evening. He did eat a small supper and is doing well. The vet gave him some pain medicine but I don't think he needs it as he is moving around ok. Maybelle weighs 19.7 lbs and got her second set of shots. I am going to have her spayed in August so here we go again. Thanks again for all your thoughts and prayers.

Tomorrow is Jesse's day for neutering. Sure hope he doesn't have much discomfort afterwards. Also hope a couple of weeks down the road he loses the urge to "ride" Reba (my 12 yr old female corgi) since the arthritis in her back doesn't make this any easier for her.

I'll be thinking of you and Jesse tomorrow. Keep us posted how he is doing. The hardest part is leaving them there. Chip did just fine and I am sure Jesse will also. Alot better than I figured. He still humps Maybelle once in awhile but not nearly as much. No more leg lifting either. That is a great plus. He didn't have stitches and no problem with him itching his little incision. I am waiting to give him a bath for another week.
