Aww i could see that - all but the pink stroller, Dillon would probably want to find a tricked out black and chrome one...with Dvd player, 12" flat screen tv, audio system, and of course navigation ( gotta know where you're going!) lol!

The pictures that I put out here were all from this past Saturday night! Just one night, and what a night. Miss Gambler went shopping with us, then dinner, then a quick stop at a fair. She was fine at the fair, and we didn't even use the stroller there, and she loved all the food smells, but when we walked by the booth where they were throwing darts to hit balloons, she yanked on her leash and did not stop pulling my husband until we were all the way back to the car, she led the entire way back!

Chip's Mom: I would be more than happy to give you any pointers on your trip to Las Vegas, vegasauthor@yahoo.com, I write about Las Vegas for a living, so write me if you want. But the main thing is DO NOT STAY at the LaQuinta chain in Las Vegas. There is really only one that is convenient anyway, and they do not allow you to leave the dog in the room and it has turned into a dump in the last couple of years, trust me. There are two wonderful Residence Inns, and great locations, and very dog friendly, these are where we stay unless my husband is going to be with us. I will be going home for Thanksgiving with my husband and we will be staying at The Four Seasons on the Strip, the ultimate dog experience. It is also the only hotel on the strip that allows dogs. I have a little pull with some of the casinos so every now and then during off times I can get into the megaresorts with Miss Gambler, but the rest of the times it is Residence Inns or Four Seasons.

Hee, hee Deb! I would love it if my dogs would walk me around for a change! Rhys is always trying to drag me into ditches.

Maybe that would be a cool virtual Corgi trip..."Ocean's 11 Corgis"? Can't you just see Rupe and Rhys as George Clooney and Brad Pitt - with the lovely Jackie taking the role of Julia Roberts! Dillon could be Matt Damon...who else was in that movie?

MissGambler's Mommy - just out of curiosity, are there any hotels on the strip which take dogs? I love Vegas, by the way. I went for the first time at 29 and I was hooked!

Disraeli: There is only one hotel on the strip that formally accepts pets, and that is The Four Seasons(attached to Mandalay Bay, a very lucky place for me and it now has a day spa for dogs), but there are two Residence Inns that I really like and are both great locations, the Residence Inn at Hughes Center(walkable to the strip, but you can easily get a cab, great view from most rooms and some of the best restaurants in Las Vegas right outside it's front doors, as well as the 2nd best Starbucks in Las Vegas(1st is the one in Tresure Island where I met my husband and has fresh desserts like a regular bakery), and the Residence Inn South which is just right down from Mandalay Bay and offers a free shuttle to Mandalay and Caesars Palace and great views from the front rooms. I have never boarded Miss Gambler, and never will, it's a pact we have, in fact, I have never spent the night without her, she goes where I go, and that attitude has given Miss Gambler a very unique life! Hope this helps.

Miss Gambler's mom- I have great respect for you for that. I,too, decided that I would bring Dillon with me where I go, so if it is overnight, you will find my little man with me, and my 16 yr old kitty misty who is an insulin dependant diabetic comes with us everywhere too. It can be tough at times, but for all the years of love and devotion she has given me, it is hte least i can do for her to make her golden years golden.

Miss Gambler's Mom - I will surely email you before we go on our trip. I don't leave Chip or board him either but he is quite the traveler for being only 9 months old. This will be an experience but if we can master Las Vegas, I don't forsee any problems. We will be gone for about 2 weeks. I am not sure about leaving him in a hotel either. How far is San Francisco from Las Vegas? I would love to see the Golden Gate Bridge and I am hearing the wharf has excellent seafood.

dillydoodle: just one word for you, "AMEN!"

Chip'sMom: Please feel free to write me about any questions concerning Las Vegas. I make my living writing about that city so I do know the in's and out's(of which there are many!) and it's about a 10 hour drive for us, we stop several lenghthy times(drives my husband nuts when he is with us) but we have discovered some wonderful places, such as The Apple Shed in Tehachappi, we always bring home a freshly baked apple pie, and the Starbucks in the middle of Death Valley!!! I have to admit that I was not thinking very well when Miss Gambler made her first hot weather drive. I let her out of the car in Death Valley and we were stretching our legs and I could tell that she didn't want to, unlke her, then I noticed the hotfooting it. It was 118 degrees in the shade! I have not made that mistake again. Also, Seafood is nice, but very overpriced, on the wharf. Seafood is a lot better on the east coast.

FLUFFYPANTS: Did not catch what you wrote earlier, sorry, but I could see Miss Gambler out on the town in NYC. I lived there for work for a couple of years, prior to Miss Gambler, and I know that she would love it, especially Cental Park!!! (I lived near the Citicorp building.)

Take care, and love your corgi!
