Good Evening... I wanted to post regarding my new boy Buggles. Some of you may have heard about him if you are also members of Corgi-L. He was found on the streets of Ohio and then placed into Cardigan rescue. I was chosen as his forever mom about a month ago.

He was neutered and recovered before he made his long journey to South Texas. He has come along way in the two weeks he has been here. His eyes are now full of life, he wags his tail much more and loves to play with my PWC Carlie. He is a sweet spirit. He is very willing to please and has a lot of learning ahead. His age is about 4. He and I will be attending obedience classes together in a couple of weeks and I am looking forward to it. I welcome any advice from those of you that have rescued a corgi in need and would love to hear your stories. I have posted a couple of pictures of him for you guys to see. Have a good evening...

Kim, I too rescued a corgi. Mine is a female 12 year old red headed tri (PWC). She was 8 when I adopted her and she's truly the best dog I've ever had, and I've had many different breeds. I'm currently looking into adopting another (rescued) corgi as a playmate for her. So many people are under the wrong impression that a "rescued" dog is an abused dog or has problems. Mine was a sweetheart that had to be given up because her owners were elderly and had to give up their pets. It wasn't the dog's fault and I truly believe they love us all the more for giving them another chance. Bless the organizations and foster homes that temporarily keep these dogs to place into new environments. I don't know where we'd be without them. Good luck to you.
