Unhappy Chip got a new coat - 11-22-2006, 02:19 PM

Well Chip's winter coat I bought him for Christmas arrived today along with his doggles for the boat. OK so I couldn't wait (I wanted to make sure it fit LOL) I tried his little coat on him and he started shaking all over - so pathetic - now he won't speak to me. He is under the bed sulking with one of his new toy's I gave him to say I was sorry. I do not even dare reach for his doggles.

UPDATE: While I was on the computer, Chip came out from under the bed and tore up the catalog that I ordered his coat from. He has never done that before. Glad I got a new one.

Bonnie,

And I was hoping there would be a picture of Chip in his coat - but I guess that didn't happen. I have a sweater for Cody and I am going to have to get a picture of that. I guess Chip was giving you a message in regards to that catalog

I don't think I could get Cody to wear doggles.

Aww Bonnie, that was way too cute! Poor Chip, sounds like he wants no part of it. Dillon is fine with his coat, it is his boots he hates LOL. I cant imagine him accepting doggles though! LOL

Oh Bonnie, how funny! Too bad Chip doesn't like the coat, I'm sure he looked great in it - minus the shaking! Ace will let us put on his coat (he fights us on it though). He will have no part of the booties! Jim tried to put them on Ace but Ace just mouthed him the whole time! So no booties. We did by Ace a pair of doggles this summer. He wore them for about 15 mintues before he finally got them off! We were able to get a picture of Ace before he got them off. Good thing too because I don't think he's going to let us put them on again!

The coat I bought is actually called a blanket and fits about like a life jacket for pups except it is lightweight and "breathes" It is supposed to maintain their body temperature. I will try it again when the weather gets colder. Anyway, I need to be real persistent about the goggles because he needs to wear them when he is on the boat. He is a corker. Too spoiled.

Oh that is too funny about the catalog. Your plan, with both the coat and the doggles, to just try them on from time to time for short periods and let him get used to them is a good way to go. Let us know how it goes.
