Deb:

How about an update on Twinkie. Will she be at the TN picnic?

Okay, so I have been looking for a puppy, but.....

Is there any word if Twinkie is still available? She is a DOLL! One of my cats only had 3 legs...

I must say, it would be nice to have a more mature dog maybe to start... something to think on!

Twinkie is doing grand and in all probability will be at the TN picnic. She lost 3+LBS the first month and continues to be vocal, making sure squirrels know to stay out of her territory and playing with her new frisbee. We have had a couple of promising leads for potential homes too. One, not too far from me.

Mrs. Grace, thank you for your interest in Twinkie, but I'm pretty sure her foster mom wouldn't approve of a cross country placing - sorry. The Cascade Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club has a rescue program Cascade Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club, Inc. (CPWCC) and would be worth checking with them. Breeders will also sometimes have "older" dogs for placement, so that may be an option to look at as well.

*sigh*

I keep checking Seattle Purebred Rescue, the CPWCC & Petfinder to no avail. Nothing in my state. Every rescue dog is in California, AZ etc. I suppose it's good that I live in a reasonably responsible state, but it SUCKS when trying to find a member for your family.

I will keep my eyes and ears open. Please let me know if any of you guys hear of a dog that needs a home. We have a fenced yard, big house, and big hearts...

This waiting game thing....
