Debbie, you sound pretty knowledgable about breeding and problems. I have a 6 month old male that has what looks like little white scratches through the color of his eyes. The vet didn't say anything about it but it makes me wonder what it is. Any ideas? I don't think my breeder was totally on the up & up. My contract is hand written on the back of a torn envelope and not signed. ~Shelly
I moved this over to a new thread, but have to say, I don't really know. Some of the eye problems in Pembrokes are PPM's (Persistent Pupillary Membranes <http://www.vmdb.org/dx1.html>) retinal folds <http://www.vmdb.org/dx.html>, juvenile cataracts <http://www.vmdb.org/aug01.html> to mention a few. I suggest having a specialist look at him, a canine opthamologist (ACVO).

Check with the PWC Club of Southern CA <http://www.pwccsc.org/> for some recommendations for ACVO vets if there aren't any specialist in your immediate area.

Debbie
