Question Soft Coat tip

Maybe you know this one, but I thought I'd pass this on...
My breeder told me that I should feed my Cardi half a hard boiled egg with his
food each day, to keep his coat soft and shiny. We've been doing this for a
week now, and while we haven't noticed the shine, his coat has become so
soft, he's right up there with my daughter's collection of stuffed toys!

Cooked eggs are very good for dogs and if they soften their coats then is just like adding an egg to a cake for a parallel kind of result. If eggs can add a shine to a dog's coat, it would take more than an egg a day for a week or so before any noticeable success - especially with a Corgi, unless the Corgi has a a short coat and has a lot of black colouring.

There are various foods that can give a Corgi a gleam to their coat but some of these have a negative side to them and the others needs plenty of time before taking effect. The saying is that Corgis coats that shine long term are only as good as the food they eat over a lengthy period and the effort placed on daily grooming and in using good quality shampoo for baths. Add to this: happiness. A happy, contented Corgi will have a healthier looking coat than a stressed out, dissatisfied one.
