Dry 'bath' powder or foam is really just the equivalent of dry cleaner for the coat of dogs. I doubt if any of the products in this range are anything to write home about

T -Gal, thanks so much for that recommendation. I will get some this week.
It is for Montrose, since she now has DM, and can't properly stand, her very lush skirt sometimes get a bit soiled when she urinates. During the summer it was not a problem as I would just sit on the lawn and tidy her up with wet and dry towels. But, with our rainy winter about to begin I don't want to wet under her skirt more than I need to. She had a small hot spot last year and it bothered her something awful. So I thought the dry bath idea might be worth a try. And having a male dog too, he lets us know if her skirt needs any refreshing. I will use the Baby Wipes as well, and I'll let you know how the dry bath worked for us. And Dylan is coming along slowly. Still some limping and yesterday even some toe touching. But we are taking short walks twice a day & doing some ROM exercises. I am concerned as the Vet said that he still has some movement in that knee joint, so it is not yet completely healed. It is taking the longer 5 months for his recovery not the 4 months that I had hoped for. Makes it hard for him mentally too as he is use to doing a lot of training g on a daily basis. I am very much feeling like Nurse Corgi these days. Not a complaint my any means, just an observation. Thanks for asking about him.

Poor Monty - no one wants a dirty skirt!
![]() May I just say, Barbara, that you are a wonderfully devoted mom! Monty & Dylan are very lucky to have you looking after them so well!! I hope that Dylan's knee heals soon. {{{{{Montrose}}}}} {{{{{ Dylan}}}}}} {{{{{ Barbara}}}}}

I had an older girl with DM who had the same problem with urine. Problem is, it's the acidity of the urine that irritates their skin, and then it can harbor infection - so a dry bath or even that grooming type spray won't help much with that. Baby wipes are an excellent idea because they are antimicrobial, and they have emollients in them to keep from drying out the skin too badly. In a pinch, I'd say a warm, wet wash cloth with a dab of antibacterial soap, followed by a wipe with a clean wet cloth and then towel dried is your best bet for really "cleaning" when needed.
