It could be a number of things, but the bottom line, you will not know unless you have it checked. If my Corgi's eyes were getting red, I wouldn't hesitate to get it checked. You wouldn't want any permanent damage to occur to the eyes, or his vision. I think that it's something that requires a vet's opinion and probably some medication of some sort. (Don't panic, though, their eyes can become dry, water, get infections, be bothered by allergies, etc... just like ours.) And never change your avitar, it is so cute, and he looks so healthy and happy!

It is more than likely allergies but I would still take him to the vet to get checked out.

It seems he only gets it when he goes out for a walk. Does it seem to itch or become watery also? If you are unsure after some Googling or research, check with your vet. Milo had some red eye once but he also closed his eyes often. We waited for 2 days to see if it would go away and it did. It didn't bother him anymore.

Hope this helps.

I suspect given the timing it is allergies. To be on the safe side, check in with your breeder and ask their opinion and have the vet take a look see just to be sure there isn't anything serious going on.

Another vote for the vet here. The peace of mind will be worth it. And MGM is right - you never want to mess around when it come to eyeballs!

Welcome to the site, and Prince is a royal cutie!
