Hey Kristi,

Other than keeping her and Zip from tearing around for a bout a week, there really isn't much to tell you that I know of.

Jemma jumped over a two foot high dog gate I'd built the day after her surgery! So, you kind of have to tell her to take it easy!

Yes, trying to keep them quiet is a challenge. Also, a number of us have had success using "onesies" to keep the dogs from pickng at their stitches. Plus - they look super cute in them! Good luck to Zia (and mom)!

I was going to mention what Jessica mentioned - using a onsie to keep them from picking at their stitches. Keeping them quiet is tough but you can also use a crate if she gets a little too rowdy. I used Dillon's crate for him and put his crate next to my computer chair so when i was working he could see me and i could talk to him and he felt better that i was around. We will be thinking of you on monday!

Oh pretty Zia. I think you should get a little ice cream and broth and lots of spoiling. Good luck.

Not sure on onesie size - that's Jessica's domain LOL Emma likes hats and boas and wings of course!

Good Luck with Zia, bet the baby would like chicken broth to make her feel better

I think as for size, i would probably go by weight, though maybe wait for Jessica to read this post she might know better.

Wow...Zia is growing up so fast! It seems like she was just a little pipsqueak and now she's getting her "big girl" surgery.

When Rhys got fixed, he was acting like a total goofball by the next morning...every time he would jump on the couch, I would think a stitch was just going to pop open! Yes, keeping a puppy calm after surgery is quite the trick.

Good luck to Zia on her surgery.

She looks like such a grown up girl on her Avatar now.

I used the Onesie on Cody . I bought him an X-Large Toddler/short sleeve "Gerber brand" - it says for 35 to 42 pounds,( he was not that weight at 6 months old) but the weight is not the issue, so much as how "long" the onesie is when snapped - otherwise if it is too short, it will pull around the neck when you try to snap the crotch. If you get one, take it out of the package and you will see what I mean. Cody was a longer/bigger boy though. So go by the length of the shirt when snapped.

It did work for him, although one morning, I found him in his crate and the onesie was off - he must of been very busy during the night.

T-Gal,

Love Emma in her purple - don't the ladies in the Red Hat Society also wear purple - I think you and Emma need to join

Good advice form Linda above. I bought 3 different packs of onesies by the time I found some that fit, so I am no expert! I'm pretty sure that the size I ended up with was 2T.

PS - also love Emma in her purple outfit!
