Overbite - 04-03-2006, 11:25 AM

Hello:

I have recently gotten a male pembroke corgi and the Vet told me he has an overbite. I wondered if anyone else has this problem and if it causes any problems. I think he is just beautiful anyway.

I've seen them in both puppies and adults - it is just one of those things that happen. At 11 weeks (that's how old he is isn't it?) depending on the severity of the overbite, it might still change and come in closer to a level bite. I've seen some pretty severe ones and they haven't effected the quality of life or ability to eat. Sometimes a vet might recommend pulling the canines - should the overbite be really extreme; I've not known anyone who had to go to those lengths though.
