Chronic Lyphatic Leukemia

Patricia Calvert's beautiful 8 year old otherwise healthy female Pem has been diagnosed with Chronic Lyphatic Leukemia.
Here is what one vet in New Zealand (whom I have a lot of trust in) says:
Treatment may give a prolonged life expectancy.
She should live over two years without any treatment. Over two thirds of dogs with this disease who receive treatment, live well in excess of two years.
Treatment for this kind of cancer is low in toxicity so therefore the treatment is not severe and side affects not great.

I will find out a little more from Massey University.

Thank you so much, Michael for the response. We continue to get blood draws (had one today) and I'm not sure what her vet is looking for, but I'm sure he will start her on something immediately when he thinks it is necessary. I believe that he told me initially that some dogs wait for quite some time before they actually begin any traditional treatments. And btw, since you are a "fountain of knowledge" have you ever heard of a collaborative treatment that goes hand-in-hand along with traditional medicine using Pine Cone Extract? There is a research instititute in the area here that has had wonderful results. To build the immune system up again.
Thanks so very much, Michael.

I haven't heard of that particular treatment, but do know of many other "alternative" holistic type treatments that have done wonders. Any information you can share about it Patricia would be appreciated.
