At what age should a corgi puppy be vaccinated for rabies? Chip is scheduled for his on May 5th and I always thought six months old was the age for the rabies shot.

They give them now as early as four months and that is the increasingly more common age required by law for rabies vaccinations.

I would say that NZ and the USA are similar. A dogs first triple vaccination ((ie three in one) takes place at an age between two months and three months of age - usually at three months - and no need for a repeat until 12 months later. An initial vaccination takes place soon after birth. That is why one takes good care of a pup before they are three months old, in keeping them away from other dogs that may carry contagious diseases.

my vet gave the rabies vaccine at 4 months.
