VetGen does the tests. VetGen - Veterinary Genetic Services

Unless you plan on breeding your dog or suspect a problem there really is no need to test.

If your dog has had surgery and has not had a problem then chances are your dog does not have vWD.

I have talked the the people at Vetgen and their test are outragus in price and just talking to them I wonder how reliable the test is. So I was looking to see if it is offerd by anouther lab.

VetGen holds the patent and they are the only ones offering this test. Ask them for an on going "clinic". Going in with a clinic will bring the price down to about $99. It doesn't have to be a corgi club doing the clinic. Can be shelties or others with the test too.

Ya I have the name of a club doing the clinic this month. My problem with VetGen besides the price is they have at lest the last time I checked have not been independantly published on this test and their semingly lack of knowlage on other DNA test for other speciese I find alarming. Do not want to pay $99 and find out that the test is flawed.
