Update On Odie - 04-09-2008, 06:03 PM

Well Odie is looking 100% better. Come to find out, he has a yeast infection. I am feeding him plain yogurt 2 times a day and his hair has grown back except for one small area (about the size of a 50 cent piece). He is playing like a young pup again and he doesn't stink anymore...YAY!!!!
Thanks for everyone's concerns and advise.

Great news! I'm glad to hear he's getting straightened out.

I'm glad Odie is feeling better! Did he not have demodex or did he have it along with a yeast infection?

I missed the original post. Where is the yeast infection and what if any meds?
Radar has a yeast infection in his ear, again.

Odie did not have demodex mange, just a yeast infection. He is doing quite well. I am still feeding him yogurt 2 and 3 times a day. I will keep everyone posted on how he is doing.

Odie's was on his body and face, right? The plain yogurt (make sure you get it with active cultures) would be good for Radar too. I give plain yogurt on a daily basis with everybody just for the all-round benefits it gives.

Odie had a strip of hair missing down his back and his ears were smelly and crusty. ears are almost clear now and the hair is starting to come in on his back (only a small spot that is missing) he was starting to chew at his legs and feet, but has stopped doing that as well. The only thing I haven't found out is how is got it and is it something that is hereditary.
