Knee issues - 04-13-2008, 05:54 AM

Has anyone else had knee issues with there corgis?
My newest rescue boy is limping on his right hind leg and I took him to my vet she said it feels like his knee. She said she felt some movement. They grade a it like 1 to 5 and she said it felt like a 1 but he seems to really be hurting.
I am taking him to a vet who specializes in dwarf breeds and orthopedics.
I am so hoping he is ok because I do not think I can swing another surgery.
My other rescue boy has had $3000 worth on his front legs and still he limps.

Anyone else have experence with this?

Luxating patellas happen in Pembrokes. ACL tears happen too. From the grading though, it sounds like a patella. If you need some financial help with him, check with Corgi Aid <http://www.corgiaid.org> about getting a grant. That's what they are there for.
