Taylor didn't get a clear round - but he came so close in two of the events. In both events he got fouled up with the colour of the weave poles. They were orange - and to dogs, orange is green and the grass is green and the trees are green, so their vision of the poles is obscured. So Taylor skipped the second to last weave pole in the first event and missed the first weave pole in the second event and both times I had to take him back to re-weave and that cost time and so in my hurrry to catch up on time, he erred in knocking a hurdle pole. Otherwise in the first event he would have finished second out of around 65 competitors. Those incidences with orange coloured poles has given me a pointer for another article to put together.

Anyway, I told a group of people about poor Emma and heartworm and they were very sympathetic.

T-Gal,
Don't be too hard on yourself (easier said than done, I know). Your method of heartworm preventive is certainly reasonable, I'm sure many would agree. Now just concentrate on helping Em get better. Jackie & I are sendiong healing energy your way. Get well soon Em!

I am sure that Emma will come through this ordeal just fine. She has all the things to make her well, competent treatment, a loving mommy and a Corgi community that will be there for you and her.
Corgi kisses from Maxi to you and Emma.

Don't know if it's the asprin or antibodics or all the good vibes sent out but Emma is acting so much better! She is not laying around as much and pushing to be first in and outside, 1st in line for attention...

Yesterday while I was combing her b4 bathtime Chloe was just being a pest to her - in her face, touching her, etc and Em just got up and put Chloe in her place! Chloe layed down and that was that.... nobody messes with Emma's pampering time - she loves our one on one time...

I saw a cooling pad in the magazine IN The Company of Dogs that I get. It has fluid-cool memory foam that is activated when you add water. Em gets hot and with needing to be cooped up for so long I think that this will help keep her cool and comfy. The web site is www.inthecompanyofdogs.com
The had several corgis pictured this time too.
