Hey Everyone! -

My name is Lindsey and I work in the Pet Industry as a sales representative. I represent many well known products: FURminator, Vittle Vaults, Pet Sport USA tennis ball toys, Savory Prime quality rawhide and chicken jearky, Stink Free, North State Pet Gates, Miracle Corp grooming products, Prevue Hendrix bird, sm. pet, cat/dog cages, Excello microfiber drying towels...This is to name the big ones I rep anyway.
I have been in love with pembroke corgis for a long time now, sadly I don't have one yet, but plan on getting one when I have a house. I currently share my appartment with 4 cats, 2 chinchillas and my boyfriend.
When I get my corgi it will work with me. She/he will be my FURminator demo dog and will demonstrate how well it takes the hair out, or she/he will demo how much she likes the treats I rep. LOL I don't know, I just know she/he won't leave my side much!
I'm glad to have found a forum for corgi's now, I have my forum for my chinchillas, and now this one. I look forward to learning from everyone and sharing everyones cori moments!

Welcome to the board. When you get your corgi, he or she will be very lucky to get to be with mommy all day long. My Dillon is nearly 17 months old and when i was working full time out of the home he came with me, and now that i work mostly from home i am with him all day long, and he really is my sunshine. He is a real character and i just love him to pieces. When you get your puppy definately make sure you spend time acclimating him to the chinchilla, the cats they seem to understand quickly, but mine really has a thing with small animals ( i have a friend with a ferrett...and another with a bird that he wants to get...i think he wants to play but becuase he is so much bigger and i would hate for him to hurt another animal. Sounds like a cool job you have there.. do you travel just by car or do you do a lot of air flight travel? I was wondering becuase the whole reason i never fly is becuase i cant take my little guy on the plane with me ( he is just too big) and i worry about them flying in cargo ( the the point that we drive everywhere!). Welcome again!

Yeah I just about live in my car anymore! I drive as far south as San Diego area, and as far north as Paso Robles. I also drive to Nevada and Arizona. I'm sure I'll eventually trave all of the South West area. No flying as of yet.

Lisa, glad you love your FURminator...my cats love theirs as well! Corgi's love beeing brushed by the FURminators. It feels good and it eliminates sheading problems up to 95% in the household! I had the pleasure of brushing one at a feed store. She cocked her head so I could brush her collar and when I stopped she barked at me because she wanted me to continue bruhsing her. It was the cutest thing!

A Corgi as a demonstrator of sampling canine food and treats - I don't think any Corgi can be luckier than that. Lindsey, you've picked one of the best breeds of dogs for loving mostly anything that is food and is farmed out to them. No, You just wouldn't be so unlucky to get the odd exception. One of the things about Corgis which is to your advantage, is that though they are a small dog, they have jaw strength and a strong set of teeth comparable to a medium size dog - so therefore they can easily take care of medium size dogs food items - eg large dog biscuits, large size kibble etc and the larger size toys. That makes them more versatile as your co-demonstrator.

Welcome to GoCorgi - and good luck in your search. I am jealous of people that can be with their corgi all day.

Thanks for all the welcome. I have some more news I forgot to mention, since everyone is mentioning demonstrating food. My boyfriend works for Canidae Pet foods. My cats are all on the Chicken and Rice Felidae formula and of course the Corgi will have to be on the one of the three formulas (Lamb and Rice, Chicken and Rice, or All Life Stage Original formula)
If anyone has questions on products being mine or Canidae, please ask. As a sales rep. I want to educate as many people as possible about my and other high quality pet products. I've been in the industry for many years now and have a lot of knowledge. If you don't know about the FURminator yet, check out... www.furminator.com
