Safest dog bed for car when traveling...
I mentioned this in a past post, just got around to taking photos. Miss Gambler happily travels back and forth to Las Vegas quite often in this bed, and I highly recommend it. The cover comes off and is washable, and it also hides two drawers for snacks and essentials. Having been involved in a awful rollover accident I know how important it is to have them secured and protected. The bed is strapped in, there is a leash that attaches to their collar and gives them plenty of movement on the bed, and if there is a sudden jolt the seatbelt protects the bed and dog the same as it would a child, no flying around. In my accident, all the glass blew and every piece of big heavy luggage, my purse and even the shoes on my feet flew out of the vehicle, so I know the movement of objects when in an accident!

Also, notice the height, it puts even small dogs right up to the window. Miss Gambler has the entire window view even when she is upside down, her favorite traveling position, and she gets the entire front windshield view. This was an added bonus and is wonderful on long trips.

What a great set up she has for traveling! I have seen a bed similar to this but much smaller ( good for a pug or small toy dog). Yours is a good size..i like the fact they get the view too! so important for long rides. Great way to travel! Thanks for posting the photos.

I have never seen Miss Gambler's bed in a chain store, such as Petco. I purchased it at a cutsey pet boutique, along with clothes for her and a huge pink stroller! I have seen the bed in another boutique so I guess that's the type of place you have to look, or the internet. It was a great find and it has held up wonderfully.

Does the place have a website? Or does the bed have a brand name that I can Google?

Fluffypants:
The car seat is called Lookout, and the maker is O'Donnell. You will have to get the one for two dogs because of the corgi's weight. It's about $150, and worth it. Man do they ever look stylish sitting, or sleeping, in this bed! We have the black, but I think that I was told that if I wanted to wait, I could special order another fabric. I never want to wait for anything. The store is where I purchased it at is called Gussied Up Dog Boutique, 1310 Lincoln Avenue, San Jose, California, 408-279-2229. I'm pretty sure they have one in stock, just remember to get the long rectangular one, the one advertised for two dogs(I think they are calculating two 25 pound dogs), ask about the weight limit. |

Fluffy-P - those are going to be dizzy dollars at the rate you are going!!!
MGM - I see that the bed is held in by the seatbelt - is there a way the dog is restrained too? I'd be concerned at the height it is at, that a quick stop would make the dog a missal.

There is a strap that attaches to the lap part of the seat belt & you hook it to the dog's harness (NOT collar!).

I have never bought anything online from overseas before...can I trust that the items will arrive in 1 piece?

I've never bought anything overseas either. I can understand your concern. If you google the bed, you will find lots of websites selling them. Maybe if you add "Singapore" to your search words, you will find places closer to hom that sell it.
