I guesss he's the smart one. He does not have to pedal.

He knows the trike always leads to someplace fun like the park or the beach for a swim. He does not want to get out of the basket at home sometimes, he wants to go ride more.
He is held in by a dog seat belt harness attached at the bottom with a swivel, to a four point harness, it's impossible for him to get out. But he can sit up turn around lie down etc. He likes being eye level with a big dog or a large goose.
He is the most famous dog on the four town 14 mile bike path, he's like the Pied Piper.
He's locally well known from being on state and local cycling club websites. I'm just the driver.

It goes like this...

ride 20 min. run in park until the human is tired
ride 20 min. run and swim on the beach until human is tired
ride 20 min. visit other humans and dogs at the bike shop
ride 20 min run in another park and swim more, see dogs and get patted by
more humans.
nap in basket on the move
repeat steps 1-5

What a cool thing! I bet Bailey enjoys the adventure of going out on the trike. I think it’s great that you do this sort of thing with your pup. Kudos!

These are some of the cutest photos that I have ever seen! It just goes to show you that dogs, like people, can find fun in many different ways and I would love to get Miss Gambler on a bike, wearing pink goggles, of course.
