Here are several more photos: Miss Gambler realizing that we're back on the strip, taking a walk out at the famous Las Vegas sign, and the MGM(the place has a special meaning for me now, even had a pink hat embroidered this week with MGM)

Last photo: New York, New York Casino. We have had a blast. (Put in $5 and won 1,500.00 tonight!) Miss Gambler loves having coffee at Starbucks at 3am, people watching and looking at the casinos. Guess we'll have two now! I apologize for the photos, they were all taken with a cell phone. Wish me luck!

MGM
You have been lucky twice, you found this adorable pup and won $1500 - imagine that I don't know how anyone could leave such little pups in a desert like that
I hope you decide to keep her and it all works out well with Miss Gambler.

CorgiMom: I did pretty well playing poker too, maybe she's good luck. My husband and I have decided to call her Mojo, short for Mojave Girl.

I love that name - you are lucky; and think of all the vet bills that money will help to cover for this new pup Sounds like fate to me. She is adorable. When MissGambler rides in her stroller, you may be able to carry Mojo in a handbag.

Miss Gambler it was fate...you were meant to have Mojo! What a great story with a happy ending. Mojo has a sweet face, hard to believe someone would abandon a little helpless pup like that. You most certainly saved her from an ugly fate. I think Miss Gambler will be a big sister to her....she'll teach her all the ins and outs about Las Vegas! Please keep us posted with pics and Mojo developments!

One good turn deserves another - rescue a fledging pup and you get to win in gambling when its geared towards losing. Better get Miss Gambler to find another lost soul. You might end up with a dozen dogs and become a millionaire.

MGM.,
I love the photos- looking at it your newest little girl looks like a piebald smooth coated dachshund- though, what is hard to tell is if she is standard or miniature- for 4 wks old she looks pretty big to be a miniature. I only know them well as they were another breed i researched as a possiblity before i chose the corgi- additionally my uncle, who is a retired vet, has had them for many many years- his first one lived to be 17 yrs old a standard red handsome boy he resuced at 10 months of age ( his owners couldnt get him to stop peeing in the house so they threw him away, little did they know he had a minor bladder infection, and THAT was why he had issues...and his name...PUDDLES LOL! ) He currently has a little miniature black and tan named bebe- she is adorable. I am hoping for even more photos of Mojo and the name is adorable. Sounds like a good luck charm!
Also, how did you get Miss Gambler to drink from a straw? how did you teach her that one? Dillon would just lap out of the cup..straws are only meant for chewing LOL!

What a wonderful story and how appropriate for Thanksgiving! Mojo looks in wonderful condition considering the fate she was left to and between Miss Gambler's paws and your caring hands - she has found a great home. I've seen the smooth dapples, not sure I've seen a wire.

I appreciate all the good wishes, and she is in great shape, but we're getting her tested for everything under the sun because of Miss Gambler, and per vets orders, greatly limiting their interraction. So far, she's perfectly healthy. The vet is pretty certain ofthe age, so I don't think she's a miniature either. As for the hair, she actually has some eyebrows and a little sprinkling on the sides and her chin, and her fur isn't a normal smooth, the vet really thinks that her fur indicates the wirehaired, and just yesterday again made the comment that she appears to be pure. I find that absolutely amazing, and to think about where she was left, so desolate, except for people stopping. I also wonder about others in the litter, or was she the only one? Thanksgiving was extra special this year, and I have the feeling that Mojo is a very appropriate name for her because she has some powerful Mojo in that little body. Again, thanks for the thoughts and insight into the breed, which I am having fun looking into. (I also like it that I stay MGM, I think that I have Fluffypants to thank for starting that when I joined, but I have come to really like it, and now I have a cute pink hat!)

Please keep us updated on your new pups progress - I think this is a heartwarming Thanksgiving for you and this pup surely has lots to be thankful for. I don't know how those awful people that left her there to fend for herself can sleep at night -
