Hi, my name is Lindsay and I have two black and tans girls, Eliza and Violet, about 8 months old, and I frequently babysit my mom's tricolor, Mary Catherine. I got hooked on Corgis on recommendation from my vet, and lost my beloved Trevor to lymphoma on July 3. I miss him so unbelievably, but the girls have helped a bit. I couldn't live without a Corgi, so I called my mom's breeder up, and she had just the girl for me, Eliza. When i got there to pick her up, she asked me if i also wanted to take her sister, Violet, with me, because Violet was extremely shy and wouldn't come out of her shell with anyone. She thought that it would be a good idea for Violet to be with her extremely outgoing and cocky sister. It was a wonderful idea, and Violet has come out of her shell completely, and is one of the friendliest dogs I know. Eliza is a chubbier girl, and very assertive. I also have 5 ferrets, 2 chinchillas and a tank of goldfish

Hi Lindsay:
I am very sorry for your loss of your sweet Trevor, such a dear little guy and I know how difficult it is to recover from losing one that you love so dearly. I am sure that the lovely new girls are already charming their way into their own special place in your heart. So easy to fall in love with these charming little dogs. We have two red and white Pembroke, DeeDee and Dudley and they are the first we have had of this breed. We are hooked now. )Today is my first day posting here and I need to look how to include pictures but saw you were new and wanted to say hi. ~Carol~ |

Two Corgis still won't replace Trevor but Trevor left his legacy behind for you and Eliza and Violet will benefit from it.
Thanks for the photos and stay in contact. |

Its funny that I was able to write about him without tearing up too badly. I still cry pretty regularly, but in a good way. Violet "gerbiled" the other day, like Trevor was doing in the picture, and I started to cry. Eliza is very similar to him in personality and bulid, and that was the first thing my vet told me when he met them. He picked them both up, and told them they have some pretty big paws to fill. They were angels from day 1, other than a few mishaps
. It took only about 2 weeks to fully potty train them, and they have always had healthy appetites, unlike my mom's Corgi.

Welcome to the Boards!
Your girls are real cuties. I have a little girl named Mazie - she is my first Corgi and I just love her to pieces (even when she tests her limits with me ). She will be one year old tomorrow (12/20).Keep posting those pictures... Lisa |

Let me add my "welcomes" to you both, Lindsay and Carol! Eliza and Violet are gorgeous and Trevor looks like he must have been a honey of a dog!! We had a Tri colored Corgi Mix for 14 years - and then waited (too long) for over a year after he died, before we got our darling ChloeLouise, a Fluffy r/w girl!! She is 20 months old now and of COURSE is SOOOO smart and (ahem) well-behaved!! I have enjoyed the "company" of the gocorgi members and hope that you do too!!
ps - Happy Barkday to Mazie tomorrow, Lisa!!
