A Very Special Christmas - 12-25-2006, 08:10 PM

The Breeder of our first Cardigan Contacted me Yesterday (Christmas Eve) and said that he would be in town with his new Male Cardigan if I would Like to come down and see him.
I never miss an opportunity to see a Corgi so of course I agreed! However, it was all a ruse! I was not aware that one of his Girls had had a litter back in October, he knew we wanted a second Corgi, and he presented us with a 10 week old beautiful Male Blue Merle Cardigan! I was shocked, and had trouble at first comprehending what just happened Needless to say we were extremely touched, and this Christmas will be one to remember!
My wife has named him "Wallace" (I got to name Snowdon)

I am sure you're only telling half the story - but Wallace is twice the Cardi. And oh, what lovely eyes you have, young pup!

Podgorney,

Congratulations!

Your new Wallace is adorable. What a wonderful way to start out 2007. I have always loved the look of your Snowdon and will be fun to hear about the two of them interacting with each other. I initially got the feeling that your wife might have had a hand in this surprise, but it sort of sounds like both of you were not expecting this.

What a ruse! How fun! I'm trying to dissuade myself from wanting a new puppy by remembering that I sleep through the night without puppy songs. Enjoy your new arrival.

Thank you all for your replies , I have posted some more pictures of him in the Cardigan Gallery. It's nice to have an "in" with the Breeder, I've known them for 18 years, and my wife has known them since Kindergarten.
Wallace is a sweet little boy, He and Snowdon get along really nicely together, I look forward to see how they romp when Wallace gets bigger. He is Snowdon's half brother (same mother) I am very fortunate to have them both, I received both of them as a trade for computer work, and to create his website for his Cardigans, so I think I got the better end of the deal!

Is by chance, Ch Coedwig's Carbon Blue in the pedigree?
