I just adopted my first Corgi, a Pembroke, last weekend. Wendy is a six year old rescue, she's had a difficult life and is very timid but very sweet too. She needs lots of love (also a diet and exercise!)
Congratulations on adopting Wendy. I love the name and she looks adorable. You are going to love the breed, they are really wonderful. My first Pem, who is no longer with me, was about 2 when I adopted her from the humane society. I had her for almost 12 years. She turned out to be a great dog. I now have a 14 month old named Cody.

You'll get Wendy into shape I'm sure. As you increase her exercising - at least an hour a day with 30 minutes of power walking, she'll not only lose pounds but some of her timidity as well.
Heatheranne, Wendy has a very sweet face. Thank you for rescueing her. The best thing you can do for her is to keep her trim, it is really hard love, at least it seems to me. I have Duchess an eight year old that I rescued last year.
Tell us about your history? Have you rescued dogs before Wendy? Do you have other dogs? What part of the world do you live in? Most of all welcome! Corgis are such fun dogs even if they are not doing anything they are delightful animals.
Wnedy has an absolutely beautiful face. What pretty brown eyes. COngratulations to you both, looking forward to learning more about you and watching her shed those lbs. As of yesterday, my first Pem Tuciker is now in a diet. I also have Lulu, a Cardi pup.
Welcome! Wendy is a very pretty girl, so glad you were able to rescue her. We will all love to see more photos and hear about how she is adjusting to her new home. Congrats !
