Hello!
Hello all! Well I don't want to say that I am new at owning a Corgi, but I am new the this site.
I have had my Corgi for about a year now. I love her to pieces. She tries to help through a tough time that I am going through right now. And I know it is tough on her too. Her daddy just left to join the Army so her and I both are trying to keep the other happy. LOL!! But anyway like I said I love her death although she is a little mischievious. But she is only a year old. I do have a question regarding her since she is my first Corgi. I noticed she has been sheding really bad the last few days. I found on another site and have had other people tell me she is blowing her coat. Can someone please tell me exactly what that means? I think I have an idea but not really sure. Thanks |

Hello and welcome,
I have a 6-year old rescued corgi named Wendy. I am a Navy wife and I understand what you are going through. (And while you're on your own, at least you can shop at the exchange!) You and puppy are going to do just great! I'm glad you've got each other. Hang in there! Heatheranne |

Welcome! Sorry that you are going through such a tough time, but i know that you have a wonderful friend in Montana! Thank you to your husband for doing what he is doing. Montana is beautiful! Corgis sure do shed..The first year i had Dillon he didnt shed that much and i thought , oh good, i have the lower-shed kind of corgi ( as if one ever existed LOL!) well, then he started his first real shed - or "blowing" his coat, and there was hair every where, i could brush him and then immediately after there would be still tons of hair coming off of him. My rug looked like it was made from corgi hair. Montana is probably going through the first big shed...Dillon is only 20 months old and really there was only one huge shedding that i can recall, the rest has always been just normal daily shedding. I find the best way to handle it is to brush them daily.

Where were you in the first picture? Beautiful area...
We went to Kentucky for Christmas and on the way we passed through where I went to college and there is a nice state park there that has this place where you can go climbing around on the rocks and stuff. I would always go up there just to relax and enjoy the view. So on our way to Kentucky we stopped there and took Montana up there. The picture is taken in Maryland. Not the best mountains but still beautiful up there. |
