Jackie is the official Crumb Patrol. She makes sure that no crumb is left behind on the floor - ever. Her post is under my feet, ready to scoop up a wayward crumb as soon as it hits the floor. Other than that, she is the official decorator of the house - strategically placing toys and bones around so that the floors look more interesting, and sprucing up the furniture (not to mention our clothes!) with dog hair. These are all very important jobs in her mind.

I agree - this was a really cute thread! I am certain ChloeLouise must have got these "memos" too, because her job description includes many of the duties you all have mentioned!! I laughed out loud when Stacy said Montana "keeps Daddy from standing too close to Mommy" and, Linda, my Chloe "exercises" our cat with regularity!! And Chloe is our "doggy pre-wash cycle" for the dishwasher (see her 'at work' in the photo gallery)...

But ChloeLouise's most dedicated "job" is to collect sticks for us!! Whenever we go for a walk around the block Chloe very carefully selects a stick, usually from the neighbors' yards, and proudly carries it home as if her sole purpose in life was to personally fill our firepit with kindling! ...and truly, she takes the sticks right to our backyard stick pile and, with only a little encouragement, drops them there!!

Let's see, what has Delilah done that would fit here?

Cat Trainer (makes sure they work off the extra food they sneak)
Waterbowl Monitor (if there's water in it, look out!)
Dishwasher (cleans up crumbs before dishes are sanitized)
Floor Cleaner (no crumbs or spills in my kitchen!)
Pedicure Specialist (gets between toes real good)
Ear Canal Cleaner (whether dirty or not!) learned this one from Checkers!
Toy Distributor (takes them out of the toybox and hides them elsewhere)
Alarm (barks if anything comes by the house - animal or machine)
Shower Cleaner (take a shower and she drys the floor)
Sprinkler Monitor (makes sure it is spraying water properly around the yard)

I guess that's about it. She wanted to be the Cat Litter Box Monitor, but it is electronic and cleans itself, besides the labrador, Sampson, usually beats her to it.

Checkers is another shower floor dryer. He checks the floors of the shower multiple times a day to make sure they are dry and don't need to be licked clean.

Hubby alarm... just send Checkers in and tell him "wake up daddy" and he jumps on the bed and sticks his tongue as deep into hubby's ear as he can.

Both of my "nub brothers" as they have come to be called lately, are champion high chair inspectors! They wait for me to get Justin out of the high chair (most of the time), I shake him off and they go to town after all the crumbs he leaves behind.

Gator has decided he is the toy distributor in our family. The only problem is he hasn't determined the difference yet between his own toys, and Justin's.... so I'm often combing the house looking for baby toys!

Sometimes I can give something to Checkers and tell him to "take it to daddy" and he will find hubby and give him whatever. This only works some of the time because I have to have hubby's attention and let him know an object is incoming or Checkers will give up when he can't get hubby's attention.

Too funny Margo! Jackie is a stick collector also . . . she is on the lookout for the biggest, most unwieldy sticks she can find! It's funny to watch her try to carry a huge tree branch around. She ends up poking herself in the butt with it, then she gets startled and whirls around looking for what poked her!
