Greetings to the forum. - 02-10-2007, 06:15 PM

Gidday.
Just introducing myself. I'm supposed to be the Alpha in the family, being a stroppy female and all, but that role is battled for somewhat. The other battler is our seven year old female corgi, Rosie, aka "Clogs". (The nick comes from the fact that when she runs through the house, the floor shakes.) The man of the house sensibly stands back and lets us get on with it.
Wise boy.

Hello

Welcome to GoCorgi.

It is easy to imagine the noise Clogs makes. We used to have a corgi that did the same thing. Ours was a male. He seemed to be able to "stomp harder" when he wanted to.

Owned by Corgis since 1963!

Welcome to GoCorgi, Clogs. My Zia also makes the floor shakes when she runs.

Welcome to you and Clogs (aka Rosie)!

I know how important it is to be alpha to the dogs. But sometimes I can't help but wonder if they are just letting me THINK I am Alpha! Tucker knows it all. He is basically a well behaved little guy but he has his moments when I am reminded that this is Tucker's world and we are here as his guests!

Rosie must have given you a lot of humorous moments - don't forget to enter into our competition.
With Corgis scurrying about as they do, it pays to have a carpeted floor to soak up the resultant noise.

Thanks for the welcomes.
Yes, both Clogs and our previous corg, Mouse, gave us a lot of laughs.
I'll have to dredge my memory....

....but on the other hand, Rosie can tiptoe soundlessly at great speed when she wants to sneak up and surprise the cat.

Jessica, I'll have to wait until I'm on a broadband PC before doing that. We have ISD here - Incredibly Slow Dial-up. But maybe at the weekend...

Welcome Clogs. I am a new corgi owner and have found this board to be wonderful! I know you will enjoy it! My boy, Boots, welcomes your furbaby too! He doesnt stomp just yet. Right now he does a gopher imitation when he runs which is hysterical!

Clogs - that was an amazing story of Rosie for the humour competition. Two of my Corgis use to dive into a river off a bank or into the sea off a kind of low lying wharf and both loved swimming through fairly large waves. And they never had any problems such as gulping in water so at least some dogs have a natural inclination to close off their air passages when going under water.
