Hello, let me intoduce myself. My name is Dawn and I have been a Pembroke Corgi owner for 5 months now and am expecting to get my second corgi in a month. My corgi's name is Harley and he is 7 months old and the joy of my life. I have always been around dogs, usually shelties, but not corgis and omg they are so much different and so much fun. I thought shelties were smart but I now think Corgis rule. I will be nice to be able to talk with other Corgi owner since I do not know any in my community. I also foster dogs for a rescue in my area and would be interested in helping a Corgi rescue if there is a need for me in the Northwest Ohio area. Thank you for allowing Harley and I to join your pack.

Welcome Dawn and Harley,
I have 2 corgis. Darci is almost 3 and Egan is almost 1 yr old. These are my first corgi's as well and I too am so in love with the breed. I know I will never be without a corgi in my life.

Hi Dawn,
I'm owned by 2 Corgis too! Rupert, 5 this week, a tri-Pem and Jemma, a 1 year old red and white Pem! There's lots of good owners here to get info from and lots of double Corgi owners to get specialty advice from!

I have a bit to do with Shelties and I must say that they don't hold for me, an interest of a unique kind as do Pems and Cardis. But if I was combining a walking and activity club with the Wellington Welsh Corgi one, my first choice would be Shelties. They (the ones that are not pampered) can walk/trot for as long as Corgis, they are not a breed that generally bother Corgis ie both get on well, and they have some background similarities eg farm working dogs. I see quite a few of them at agility competitions.

Hi dawn! Hope you are staying warm out there in NW Ohio. I lived on the west side of Cleveland for 13 years and loved the storms coming in from the west: the snow blew over the west side of Cleveland and dumped on the east side! That funny dip in the lake shore west of Cleveland did us no good if the storms came up from the south though!
Smoochies to Harley, looking forward to seeing pictures. I completely forgot that Rupert has a birthday this week, my Tucker turns two Friday. A very big week!
