Hello! - 02-24-2007, 09:49 PM

Hello!
My name is Holly! And I'm from Arkansas!

I actually joined this site when I first got my Corgi... but then forgot about it...

But, I have a year old Pembroke Corgi, named Jenny Chompers... just Jenny for short.
The Chompers got added one later when we realized she liked to bite... Not hard... just play bite.
But I absolutly love her! I love Corgi's in general. They're wonderful dogs.

Hi to you again and to Jenny Chompers. Corgis just love playing and directing attention by grabbing with theor mouths/teeth in using their strong set of dentures like a hand. - it's their best equipment of course. I have never had a Corgi who has gone from grabbing in playing or directing a friendly human hand to hard or harsh biting other than the experimentations of a young pup before they learnt what inflicts hurt and what doesn't.

Typical of dogs in general, not just corgis.

And dogs can be taught to be gentle with their mouths or to not put them on people. And should be taught such manners.
