Molly, are you there? - 07-27-2007, 07:37 PM

I met Molly and her Mom and Pop in Newburyport. Molly is a ten month old fluffy, I think she could be called fawn and white. Molly is very sweet and well behaved.
Promoting Gocorgi as usual, I suggested the couple get online to check us out. The lady said she had heard of gocorgi, and will give us a try. I wish I had cards to pass out but I am not handy at getting things together/printing/ whatever. Just don't know how to do that. Any way they don't know of anyone else local that has a corgi.
So if Molly's folks see this post, let us know you were here. Jane

P.S. I ran accross the street to catch up with them. I have no shame.

LOL at chasing them down! It doesn't always work. I introduced myself to a couple the other day who had a corgi and got a very short, sharp rebuff. In fact, you could have called it rude, even. Meh. Not everyone wants to be or is even able to be friendly, I suppose.

There are people who don't want to feel any kinsmanship towards others.

All the Corgi people I have met have been exceptionally nice. Must go with the breed in general, not the ones that Clogs met.
I did get to see a huge dog of unknown breed laying near a picnic table at a Greek food festival. When I asked the owner what breed he was they completely ignored me. Thinking they didn't hear me I repeated my question. Nothing! The owners must get this question so much it irritates them. I'm pretty sure he was not a pure breed. But still, they had to be proud of him being a large handsome dog (almost a pony)

To some extent, people can be the same any where in the world. I have never had anyone completely ignore me in NZ when asking those type of questions, but I have met lots of Corgi-owning people who wouldn't give you the time of day or would at least be vague about it.

I met up with a long time friend of the family a few days ago and lo and behold she had a lovely nine year old male fluffy Pem. Well, I thought he was a fluffy Pem. Turned out a Pem Corgi-Australian Terrier cross. But try and work out the Terrier component, I could not. Maybe the eye colour. A very sweet fellow who caught Taylor's attention.
