Hello My Name is Pete
I am the proud and happy owner of a Pembroke named Radar. Radar is a "social butterfly" and enjoys daycare, agility, and just meeting people and other dogs. My one regret is that we have nothing to herd as Radar has a very strong herding instinct.
Next month Radar and I will move to Switzerland where my wife has taken a new job. She has already found a couple of Corgis, one fit, one fat. I think that it will be an adventure for Radar as he will be welcomed on public transport and in restaurants and shops; not like York Beach. My challenge will be to keep him exercised and find new friends and care for him |

Yes, Pete, we met in Portsmouth and I remember you, your wife and Radar.
You don't have to leave gocorgi just because you are moving to Switzerland. Keep us updated on how you make out transplanting yourselves to a different continent and society. Let's hope you enjoy Switzerland and if you choose to come back in this area we look forward to seeing you again. Best wishes. Jane |

Pete, wife and Radar - you are very lucky to be going to Switzerland for an extended time. Switzerland must be the tidiest country in the world where the citizens are proud of their towns, cities and countryside like no other, and the Swiss are enlightened with dogs and their relationship with the community thus allowing them into shopping areas, into food outlets such as cafes, restaurants and on public transport. Enjoy your time there, keep us at Go Corgi thoroughly informed at the goings on in Switzerland ( which is also one of the world's most expensive of countries to live in). I expect there are quite a few Corgis in that part of the world.

Yes, Swiss is probably the most expensive country, and Zug (where the fugitives or international outlaws like to hug out) is the more expensive place in Swiss. I have seen two so far, one is to fat to walk, the one is very fit to climb up the Alps mountain with his 70-year-old parents in a heart bit, amazing !!! The proud owner of the "Fit" one told me that the movie "Queen" has dramatically increased Corgi's popularity. Unfortunately, Radar's parents could only afford a apartment in Zug, a regular house would easily cost 2 M CHF = $1.8 M. Radar will have NO big backyard like he used to in Maine to play around with......As a compensation, he could train travel with us to Paris or Rome, which might be able to save some tears.
