Yes we do have swans here and when I took Taylor on a holdiday to NZ's largest lake (Lake Taupo) the dozens of large, beautiful swans in the lake followed Taylor lovingly each day he walked/ran along the beach.
I keep Taylor well clear of any jellyfish - Portuguese or any other - though some have no sting - never sure which do and which don't.
We have no scorpions in NZ but I believe they are a notable problem for dogs in Italy. Thankfully our only caterpillars turn into beautiful butterflies - and neither state poses any danger to man or dog - and our sandflies here may be many but none do any more than create an annoying itch if one is not sprayed with insect repellent. When you come to NZ - just bring yourself and a crew of your gorgeous Corgis.
