Hello everyone
Hi. My name is Gail. I'm a 28 year old stay at home mom from Mississippi. My husband's name is Jason, and he works at our local air force base as well as being a member of the air national guard (he's former AD). I have two sons - Jake and Brandon. They are 4 and 6. We expanded our family today with a 4 month Pembroke corgi puppy today. She is the sweetest puppy. She was born on May 10th, and we're already her third (but last) home. I can't believe two people took her back to the breeder. My sons named her Popcorn, and we're calling her Poppy for short. We also have a labrador/golden cross named Brees (we've been NO Saints fans for years and are glad to have him as the QB
). We adopted her from the humane society about a year ago. If that wasn't a handfull, we have two cats, Socks (2) and Mara (2 1/2), and a long-haired hamster, Boomer, also. We are absolutely in love with Poppy already. I look forward to sharing the experiences of our babies with all of you! Here's a couple of pics of our little girl. Fresh out of the bath: Clean and dry (she just had a treat so excuse the crumbs, please) ![]()

Poppy looks just fine and I am glad she has found such a lovely home and family. Maybe that's what she wanted all along - a large assortment of people and pets as her friends.

Thank you Michael. I hate she had to go through all the confusion, but I'm grateful she came to our home. I was a pet groomer for 5 years before we had our children, and we had a few corgis come in. I've been in love with the breed since then. They seem like such fun, great companions.

Corgis do seem like a lot of fun, yet fun in a kind of reserved way when comparing with some of the breeds - especially some of the small breeds who can be silly hyper.

That does sound like a very calm corgi. My first corgi was like that. So, even though I had read they were a bundle of energy, I still wasn't prepared for Duncan.... LOL. He is pure corgi through and through.
Poppy made a little reserved right now. Three owners in just 4 months!!! Poor thing, she probably is just waiting for you to just get rid of her also so is keeping her feelings distant. Just give her a couple of months, and I think you'll see a big change in her, once she realizes that you plan to keep her and make your house her forever home.

Taylor does what you Americans call 'therapy.' And the interesting part of this is he can move gently and graciously from person to person off-leash, but away from that kind of environment, he is all go and gas.
