I didn't mean that alll those questions breeders ask are a bad thing. I meant thats why alot of people just go and get a puppy from petland because they don't care who they are selling to as long as they make the sale... plus alot of people want that puppy right then and not all breeders are willing to just hand a puppy over right then and there. I think alot of this is people misunderstanding what i'm saying... thats why i really hate the internet sometimes.

I agree with you about the internet and chat forums. It's hard to get across what you are saying because you can't hear the tone or emotion in writing. Many a time, person have taken me wrong because I was (or thought) being funny, and just reading it.......well, it got nasty!!!!!

Unfortunately, "casual breeders" around here produce most of the rescue dogs that I get. You know as long as a person is responsible for the puppies they produce for the life of the dog, does health testing, temperment testing and is honestly trying to improve the breed, I don't have big as an issue with it as someone who doesn't do the above. I live in the middle of puppy mill and BYB/fly by night breeder territory-the dogs that come into my training classes have temperment issues, HD, serious defects and the "casual breeder" they purchased from offers them no recourse or help. But if you purchased a pet, it should be altered and if you seriously want to get into breeding, get a dog that has all the back up on it's breeding to prove it can be an asset to the breed.
