Have 2 corgis - a blue merle Cardigan and a Pembroke. Rescued the Pembroke (Topper) from the Animal Shelter 2 weeks ago. He and my Cardigan act like litter mates. Cardigan is from a breeder - she was one of ten. We have special needs kids and both dogs are wonderful with them.

Welcome Caroliina...I'm Vannette w/2 Pembroke corgis Katie and Cody. I'm really happy to hear your 2 corgis get along so well. Great that they are so good with your kids!!

It's funny, but Taylor makes extras efforts to be sociable towards any child or adult who are physically or mentally impaired.

Corgis are wonderful with kids and they seem to have a knack with special needs.

I recently placed one of my puppies out of the 6 pack litter, with a highfunctioning autistic young man. At 11 weeks old, that puppy is already helping his new master out and looks to be a great relationship. Then one of the older puppies I was training for my breeding partner-she placed him with a young boy who has speech issues. Again, it's already helping the boy to communicate more coherently.
