Greetings from OKC!
Hello! My name is Carol and I'm currently living with my partner Avery in Oklahoma City. I am a trainer up at K9U here (in training, but almost there!) and I do design work at a local awards factory.
I'm also an artist, so you might see some of that from me. I'm going to start on a series of breed art soon. I currently have three dogs as follows: Hazel: 6 1/2 -year-old Pembroke Welsh Corgi, sable and white "fluffy" male/n from FidoKnows rescue in Chandler, OK Kaya: 2 1/2-year-old Shiba Inu/GSD female/s from Pets and People in Yukon, OK Kiki: 1-year-old Japanese Chin, black and white female/s from Japanese Chin Care and Rescue Effort And five cats: Yuki: 2-year-old black Maine Coon X from Miss Kitty's Cat Rescue Kyo: 2 1/2-year-old marmalade DSH hermaphrodite/n/s (yes, both surgeries!) from Avery's former voice teacher who took in a pregnant feral female, let her have her kittens, socialized and altered the kittens, found them homes, and spayed and released the mother Tohru: 3 1/2-year-old Snowshoe Siamese female/s from Safe Haven Animal Rescue, Inc Momiji: 1-year-old calico DSH female/s from Safe Haven Animal Rescue, Inc Jakko-maoh: 4-5-year-old 16 pound black DSH of doom male/n from Safe Haven Animal Rescue, Inc And . . . four boy rats, all over two: RMAX Hitomi: Sealpoint Siamese RMAX Rhadavic: Silvered black berkshire Harley carrier RMAX Haibane: Russian blue self dumbo Slash: Sealpoint Himalayan And one male/n sable ferret of 6 years named Lazarus. I also foster and volunteer for Safe Haven Animal Rescue, Inc. here in OKC. We have five foster kitties right now aside from our own resident kitties, so it's a full house! Since Hazel's the Pem, I'm sure you'd want to know more about him. :-P He's a very sweet, extremely mild-mannered boy we adopted back in February of this year. He's obviously been through some rough times as he cowers even if you're just carrying something, but he still has some incredible spirit. I'm thinking about getting another Corgi from FidoKnows for my demo dog up at K9U. Everyone else has GSDs and a Doberman, bah! Ha ha. They have one that certainly has the drive to perform well and I'll be meeting her soon. She's a 1-year-old red and white and only 13 pounds. TINY. Hazel is about 22. Well . . . that's all I have to say for now! |

Hi Carol,
Kudos to you for being able to love and take care for so many of our four-legged friends! I'm sure if anyone can bring Hazel out of his shell and back to a confident Corgi, you can! You'll have to post pictures of your clan. ![]() Welcome, Chris & Charlie |
