Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Her name is Doji named after candlestick formation used to trade stocks. I got her from a rescue group through petfinder. She just got her treatment for heartworm. Great dog and such a joy.

Tell us more about how you came to have Doji? Anything about her past? Have you had a dog before? When did you get Doji? Age?

I love rescue or adoption stories. I think there may be others on this site who also enjoy the details.

She is very pretty. Thank you for rescueing her. Jane

hmm...I do not know Doji's history. She was in a shelter and shelters have high kill rate. A rescue group picked her up from the shelter before her time. I got her through the rescue group. My vet says she is around 2 years of age and in good health. She did need heartworm treatment.
My family raised shepherds growing up. We grew up with mostly german shepherd. I have a mutt and knew my next dog had to be a shepherd. I wanted something smaller than german but still had to shepherd qualities. I started to search for corgi around my area. Doji came up after several months of searching. I went to see her and knew she was going to be a good match. She is great!

She is beautiful and congratulations on rescuing a corgi in need. Also, she will take up much less room on the couch or bed than a shepard. Although mine crowd me so much on the bed I got a king size so I'd have room to sleep. They sleep so close still, I could have gotten a twin.

corgi's are the next best dog to a german shepherd or the best thing with a shepherd. I have both and love both temperments. I do like the smaller size of a corgi for walks. Your new corgi is beautiful. Have lost of fun with her.
