Hi! I just got from back a vacation. I had left my corgi at the kennel for 6 days.
He was happy there but after I got him back home he seems to be sad. I am not sure if its the change of place thats got him confused or do i need to take him to the doc for a quick check up.

Is his behavior normal or is there any thing I need to be worried about?

Hi prieesinn,

If he's eating and pooping normally, he may just be tired and ready to rest a bit at home. He'll probably be back to normal this evening or tomorrow.

Quite a few dogs develop kennel cough after a stay, but symptoms would show up fairly quickly. I really wouldn't worry about that unless he starts coughing the next day or two.

Corgis can really enjoy having a holiday and don't want the experience to end or to end sp quickly and get back into something that to them might seem like a little ordinary.
I have had Alice, a 6 year old pem stay with me for upwards of 8 days on three occasions and when she goes back home she is not happy even though her owners dote on her. Her times with me and Taylor are so much FUN and very active. She settles down to her more sedate life eventually bit whenever i see her she is all over me. Another Corgi who Taylor and i had come stay, is very much the same.

We just got back from vacation also, and Westin seemed a little off (we got him back Sunday). He perked back up by Wednesday though.. I think it's just that they don't quite know what's going on and the excitement of moving around stresses them out a little bit! Wait a day or two, and if something is still up, take him in!
