Hi. I'm new. I am moving out West from New England. We haven't gotten our puppy yet but it looks like we will soon be the owners of a little red/white female. I hope to do some obediance and agility with her as she gets older and maybe 4-H. I am in high school and also interested in starting a dog club at my school.
she is only 4 weeks old so it will be at least 4 more weeks- perfect time for us to puppy proof our new home and get set up for her.
I ride horses and my new instructer (we are also shipping my horse up-ahhhh lol) has corgis. She told us all about them and we've had friends with them, so we just started peeking around and this little princess caught our eye.
I like Lalaine, she looks like my Rupert when he was a baby, look at his baby photo and then look at him now, then you can have an idea of how they change.
Rupe at 8 weeks old: http://www.gocorgi.com/gallery/showi...c=3&userid=365
You can see how the big wide stripe on his nose changed into a skinny little stripe.
I think any of the puppies will be lovely, you have to go with your feelings - you'll know which one is for you.
They are all adorable - go with the puppy that has the best personality to suit you - they are a bit young yet, when are you going to get a chance to
see what one seems to suit you best? How is this puppy getting to y our new
home?
we really like Jorja and she was the one we emailed about.
We wont be able to meet the puppy as the breeder is 5 hrs away and thats a lot for my mom to drive (she gets sick if in the hot car for too long) so the pup will be flying. We are asking LOTS of questions about size, health, temperement of parents, etc. This isnt the best situation we know, but its what we have to do
I picked Rupe from an internet photo and then drove 9 hours to get him. The breeder would email me a photo of him and one of his brothers every week and tell me a little bit about their personalities. When I arrived I had the choice of these 2 beautiful puppies - but it was Rupe from the start. I lay down on the floor with both of them and he just crawled all over me and was my boy from the start.
It sounds like you are doing the right things to learn as much as you can, for the situation you are in.
