Hello. We love our wonderful Corgi pup. His current crate is 17x26x15. As our little guy grows he likes to stretch out to sleep and his snout has to hang out over the ledge. Does anyone know of corgi size crates that are narrow (not greater than 18" wide), but long-closer to 36"--any height greater than 15")? Or a custom crate builder? He likes his crate for sleep, to take a new toy, or chew treats. Thanks!

my crate is by "Life Stages" and is 30L x 21"W X 24H and is a good size for my
Corgi. I paid about $50 for it.

I see "fido" that you are new here. We would love to hear more about your Corgi pup - Is he a Pem?, how old is he? We would love to see pictures.

Each of ur dogs has the Midwest Canine Camper size 1730. Plus the (smaller) Ferrari hardsided kennels. Medium #250. 27L x 20W X 19H. Those they have for night time, doors off and also in the van, doors on in transit.

PROBLEM SOLVED--Well, after some searching have finally found an option that works. Our little guy likes to sleep pretty spread out lying on his side, so needed a crate that was long 42", but those were huge and he didn't feel comfortable in them. We have a wonderful set up for him in our utility room which is set up galley style and can be gated giving him an area of play approximately 4'x12' when we are away. However, the best place for his crate is only 18" wide. If we pull the crate out he moves it around and could get behind the washer and dryer-not safe! The following link made a custom crate for us, 40" long x 18" wide x 20" tall, for less than $100, including shipping. I superglued a carpet square fitting those dimensions for the bottom, a 42 inch lambswool liner also fits the bottom nicely, and grandma made a crate cover (actually several to change with the holidays/seasons!).

Problem solved and Buddy is quite happy in his new space. We generally leave the crate door open (except during the night when he is vacationing at grandma and grandpas--no area to gate).

You mentioned "the following link" - did you intend to post a link to the place that made the crate for you? Would like to check it out, if you can still post it.

Sounds like the Midwest crate company. They often run special orders for corgi "dimensions. Shorter and longer than typically found crates.

We chose to do a custom crate and made the pan the bottom of the crate, not the wire. We then had it coated with truckbed liner and used the carpet and lambswool. Also had the door lowered so the threshold is shorter than pictured.
