hello all,
My name is Sam. I have an 8 month old fuzzy Pem named Nigel. He's from Triple Tec farms outside of Lansing, Mi. I was informed of this site via dogster.com in which one of nigel's cousins mentioned this site. I look forward to reading and sharing many stories of a dog that I very much love. have a good day! Sam and Nigel

Hi Sam. Glad to have you on board.
Nigel is a fuzzy Pem - what do you mean by fuzzy. Do you mean Fluffy? Coming from Triple Tec Farms means what? Are they puppy breeding farms, livestock or horse farms, or a fancy Pembroke Corgi kennel name? |

It's a small breeder, but she also has horses, so she calls it farms. When we picked Nig up it was fun watching him try and emulate daddy with the horses. He gets that practice now with our boys...

Corgis go well with horses and become good friends with them. Did you go for a fluff or find out later.
Through all the years in NZ, I've seen no more than four fluffs. Taylor, my Pem, is madly in love with a one year old fluffy Pem named Holly who is in our Corgi walking group here in Wellington, New Zealand. Mind you, Holly wasn't at the last organised walk we went on so he beelined instead for a two year old male. |

we kinda knew he was a fluff from the pics on the website when we initially inquired. His dad was there and straight haired, and his grandma also. We never met his mom as she wasn't there that day, but she was straight as well. She said they maybe get one or two fluffs every to every other litter.

first day at home:
![]() current photo: ![]() We registered him as sable, as he had great mask markings of black, and a solid black stripe down his back. but after growing and multiple brushes he's all red and white now....

Sam, Nigel is lovely. And it is a strange fact that 99 percent of Corgi fluffs have great natures. I would like to comment though that if the breeders were doing a good job of breeding Corgis, they wouldn't continue using a line of breeding that produces fluffies.

Welcome Sam and Nigel!!
My Chloe Louise IS THAT "COUSIN"!! What fun to discover that Chloe now has two "relatives" on gocorgi - of course, the other being littermate, Butters (BlueNL6) - who is ALSO a Fluffy! When I showed my daughter Nigel's photos on dogster she laughed and said he looked just like Chloe! Glad you found your way here! This is a fun place to share and learn! I, too, am looking forward to hearing more about Nigel and seeing additonal photos of Chloe's Ohio "cousin"!! Michael, I hear what you are saying - about responsible breeders needing to breed to the standards - of course, to enhance and further the breed's characteristics...BUT having a Fluffy, myself...well, I am torn...I recognize that Chloe is "only pet quality", I would never have shown her regardless. And we spayed her, NEVER having intended to breed her anyway - having said that, I am completely delighted with her "look"! It doesn't bother me one bit that she has "a serious coat flaw" - well, except when I need to groom her!! Her personality it ABSOLUTELY Corgi and she is in every way a wonderful companion!! I correspond with numerous Fluffy owners who are so charmed by their Fluffs that they would seek out another Fluffy ( and I would definately put myself in that category)... So, there is an interesting thought to consider...

There is a market for fluffies in the USA. It would be the downfall of Corgis as a breed however if too many breeders produced Corgis away from the accepted standards. Where indeed would we be heading for then. Fluffies are fine to me as long as there is no deliberate or ignorant efforts made to increase the likelihood of Corgis with coats that don't comply. But this is getting too serious. Lets revel in the wonderful fluffies we have as part of the Go Corgi membership an encourage more to join.
