So glad to hear that everyone is getting along "swimmingly". ( I'm cheesy, I know. )

Congrats on your new addition Deb. And that last picture of Rupe in the water is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! What a great shot!

Thanks gang - can you believe that water is Lake Ontario? This beach we go to is one of the cleanest in the city, a lot of them get closed in the summer due to ecoli, but this one is great for the dogs - just round rocks and pebbles, not much sand and no sharp rock, so they love it.

Jemma actually swam this morning! She isn't fazed by anything and is a quick learner. She also mastered coming up the stairs yesterday - we just have to convince her coming down is safe too.

Rupe went after her in the car today over a peice of donut - she was fine, but he's still sulking because I got so mad at him. I should have been more careful as I know Rupe has food issues. Can you tell by his size?

She is a great little character and Rupe has been engaging her in play - at the beach and when we are outside - he's more reserved at home - I think because he still has sharing concerns.

So far so good!

Good for you, Deb and Rupe! It's nice to see that your new addition seems to be fitting in well.

Jespah- When I had Taffy for a couple of weeks at age seven months, he had never encountered steps before - but quickly learnt to go up our many indoor seps, but it took him several days to go down them. Which was a bit funny because in some of our 'nature study' walks, he scooted up and down any steps that were in his patth with great enthusiasm.

Yesterday afternoon Jemma decided that she would go down the stairs - now she just flies up and is happy to go down. She's a bright brave little girl and is adapting very well.

Great news Deb,

Was she perhaps following in the footsteps of her big brother??...Hey, us girls
can show those boys, that we can be just as brave as they are

Yes, she seems to trundle along after Rupe - but she's a girl with her own mind, she will go off on her own and check things out. She's very gregarious and outgoing. Unlike my other two, she likes to climb on my lap and licks my face and is very happy about everything. She had a whole crowd gathered on our lawn visiting with her last night and didn't want to come in.

A female corgi that is a social butterfly?

That's great that Jem has learned to use the stairs so easily and quickly.
