Hi, I'm new...
My name is Stacy & proud owner of a Pembroke Welsh Corgi named Cassanokie (Okie for short but affectionately called Mr. Pooty). He's a sable & white (more red & white but has a lot of black hairs on his tail) that will be 4 yrs old on the 11th of this month (I think Saturday!).
Okie is our first corgi ever to own or be around. He is so personable & comical! I absolutely love him to pieces. He has two brothers Otis (black mouth curr dog) and Blue (blue heeler). Blue & Okie are house dogs. They go with me to my overnight barrel races & I actually customized my living quarters so that Okie could get up & down from the bed with ease-5 cabinets are stair-stepped for his short little legs.

Thank you! I think he's pretty darn handsome! I need to put more pics of him on here but just got a computer at home this past week. He's still a stud & has had about 3 litters of puppies. My step-father kept one of his sons which has grown up to look EXACTLY like Okie. Okie likes to play hide & seek but gets impatient when you don't look for him as fast as he wants you to. He kind of rules the roost around here. I absolutely adore his personality. He does have a bad habit of back-talking when he gets into trouble for something (husband says he gets that from me!).
Well, Michael, barrel racing is a rodeo event actually where you run a horse as fast as you around 3 barrels (50 gallon drums usually) in a clover-leaf pattern.

Hi Stacey
Ah, so that's barrell racing. Don't much like rodeos myself - it's too hard and cruel on some of the poor animals for my liking. My Pem, Taylor is not a fetcher but he certainly loves been chased - the more people chasing him the better he likes it and we have this game of pretending that we can't quite snare him when he's kind of cornered. In his puppy days Taylor had a speedy rabbit who chased him and would sometimes bite him (not too viciously) if he ever caught up - but Taylor usually was too clever and too skilled with his footwork. They would both end up having a drink together in our stream. |
