Hi, new member here, and my boy Apollo!
Hi, I'm a new member, and my little boy here is named Apollo Van Flyheight full name. I got him from a breeder in bakersfield. He's a very intellegent boy, and I've tought him a few tricks. Speak, Shake, Roll over, sit, lay down and spin around. Here are his photos, and a video of him speaking. He also knows hand signals, the ones I've tought him.

Hi Slim - I had a Pem named Troy. He was named Troy because it seemed appropriate with the word Apollo in his kennel name.
It seems like you had three choices and went for Apollo. Why? He's a beauty and one can see he is bristling with intelligence and I bet he doesn't always take it lying down. At five months he has a lot more growing to do. Not so much with height as with length. He should be a little podgy as a pup and allowed to thin out after he is 12 months. The essence is he should be well muscled as he gets older and whilst being weighty, you should be able to feel his ribs and he should have a noticeable waistline. A lot of Corgis seem to have such big ears ie ears are a dominant feature, but as they get older their ears seems to shrink as everything else catches up. Apollo is very happy - so he is well looked after and so must be firmly embedded as one of the family and an inside the house resident. |

Chloe came absolutely UNGLUED and is STILL barking and growling and carrying on! I wonder what is was that Apollo "said" that set her off!! Anyway, WELCOME! Hope you enjoy the group here - lots of great information and comradery!! BTW - your little fellow is beautiful! Margo (My Chloe is a 16 month old Fluffy red and white pem...) |

Because she hears another Corgi/dog speaking...
I have taped Cody with my digital camera while he is playing with a ball and barking and then when I play it back, he just can't seem to get enough of watching himself and listening to himself - it is very funny to watch. And yes, welcome also - my Cody is 9 months old. |

Thanks you guys, this is the warmest welcome I have ever had at a forum.
Thanks for the tips too! Out of the three, Apollo was the most calm and he was the smallest one, so I guess he was the runt of the litter, but that was what I was looking for. A calm and intellegent guy that was small for my apartment. His other brothers and sisters were very cute as well and playful also, but Apollo seemed just right for me. Since I've gotten him he's gottem much more playful though, and loves to speak... haha, but only when I'm telling him to do tricks, speaking was the easiest trickt o teach him, all I did was took food and got him really really exicted and I started jumping up and down and saying the word speak and then he did it, and I gave it to him. So far he learns his tricks in a day and it takes him about an hour for one, i don't overwhelm him with many tricks a week, but spinning around was very hard to teach him, he only does it if a take a treat and twirl it around his whole body. In all, there are a lot of beautiful Corgis here, and I'm hoping to read threads and hear stories about fun adventures everyones Corgis have gone through! Thanky ou very much for the warm welcome! Apollo thanks you guys too! |

If you were able to - with some fancy machine stuck over your head like a helmet - hear what dogs are really saying when they yell (bark) or yap - what would you hear. Yes, I've got it. They would be saying: hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey etc
