Hi Shelly,
I'm sure Barbara won't mind me sharing this link to a photo of Dylan in his X-pen. I had one for Riley and Rupert when they were babies. I bought a cheap piece of linoleum to put under it for accidents and chewing. I still have the pen - they fold up and I've used it to go to friends houses with no fences. They can hang out inside it and be comfortable. http://www.gocorgi.com/forums/attach...g?d=1156911464

Ponzo has never really been destructive toward our things but his poor Teddy! Teddy has been replaced 3 times since we got him at 7 weeks, he is now 8 months. The last Teddy met his fate while my husband checked his email...it took about 5 minutes...When Josh came back downstairs he found Ponzo with Teddy lying face down in pool of Teddy "blood" (stuffing). The stuffing was everywhere..Josh said Ponzo looked at him like "I am sorry Josh I don't know what got into me, I just couldn't stop myself" However, funny his chewing of his beloved Teddy is, the one time I actually got angry at him was when we came back from our honeymoon. Friends had come over to talk and we pulled out the one picture we got taken on our horseback ride on the beach. We left it on the coffee table, and upon return found it in a jig-sawed mess all over the floor. I was devastated...but I salvaged the pieces that could and got the tape out to tape it back together. The worst part about it was that I had to be reminded about the incident everytime Ponzo pooped in the back yard the next day...Little fragments of my moment on the beach with the horses kept coming out, photo side up, in Ponzo turds!! But if that's the worst he does while he's a puppy..we made out scott free!

Linda - I had to giggle when I read your post LOL
Chip has gotten to be a major chewer. I came home after church this morning to find Chip had gotten my ragdoll off my antique bench and proceeded to remove her hair piece by piece and then left her laying on the floor hair missing and a mess. As you walk through my house, the corners on the doorways, table legs, china cabinet are all chewed on. They have stopped eating sheetrock thankfully. They chew in under my bed on the bedframe. Once, they get over this chewing, I have got some remodeling and repairs to do. How long does it last? Thankfully, I have hardwood floors that are untouched. I do believe that Chip is the culprit but I give Maybelle part of the blame just to help Chip stay out of trouble. He also has started removing the stuffing from some of his toys and makes a nice little mess.

he is worse than a dog. I think some dogs obviously chew more than others and I don't know when that gets better.Bonnie, I think you need to set up a video camera in the house when you are gone to see who is doing the damage

Can't do that - it would give Chip away. We took Chip with us for the afternoon today and left Maybelle in the house and when we came home, no collateral damage. Maybelle only chews when poor lil Chip is home so it looks like Chip is the guilty party. (Is this believable) I doubt it. Chip is the culprit. I love my pup.

Luckily Buta is not a heavy chewer, she chews abit of our shoes & soft toys. I have had problems with her chewing on our furniture but I have caught our Golden Retriver peeling the walls!!!
Now we have patches on the lower part of the walls

Chip will go in my closet and find a shoe of mine and chew on it. If he has something he isn't supposed to have, and sees me heading toward him, he will run and dive under the bed with his precious whatever in his mouth. He slides under like a lil seal. too cute! He snoops on the end tables, coffee table and in his toybox for something to chew and is not above stealing it. He has gotten worse since his tooth has healed - Like I say second puppyhood.
