Kia Ora (Hello in Maori), Hayashi of Singapore and your lovely Pem baby, Buta.
You're Go Corgis first member from that tiny dot on the map. Singapore though is very important and is well known to New Zealanders. There are a lot of dogs in Singapore - are Corgis among the more popular breed there? Must have good reasonable laws regarding dogs in Singapore - and excellent owners, because there are so many for such a small place. And Singaporeans are very very tidy and fussy.

Hi Micheal Romanos! Ni hao (hello in chinese)
I am so glad to have found this forum & am also glad that I am the 1st Singaporean here!!Yes we have alot of dog owners here, but toy breeds are the most popular due to the fact that the apartments here only allow pets up to max:10Kg....corgis are only allowed in private houses thus it is not very popular here. Buta was abandoned by her previous owner due to a her mange problem We have alot of GRs & Huskies too.

Hi Tandemgal & Fluffypants,

Thank you (^^) We do not have much corgis in Singapore so whenever I see any owners on the street i will actually run after them to get their contact numbers hahaha it is embarassing but I just loves corgis so much!! (>o<)/ I hope to recommend more of my fellow Singapore corgi lovers to this great site!

Hayashi - Well, we better breed another type of Pembroke Corgi that is small enough to weigh in at under 10kg (22-23 lbs) as an adult. In that way we could have apartments in Singapore devoted entirely to Corgis Just imagine the advertising - Apartment for sale - suitable only for people with a Corgi. We also have a member of Go Corgi who lives in Hong Kong and she lives in an apartment. They allow bigger dogs to co-exist in apartment blocks in HK.
Huskies and Malamutes are increasingly popular in NZ - I though it might be something to do with our climate and sled racing - so it must be that people in Singapore like Huskies for other reasons. These breeds are very much pack dogs and therefore cannot be let loose otherwise they take off and don't stop, and they seldom look directlly at people - so their communication aspects are different to most other breeds.
Have you been to any conformation shows (dog shows) in Singapore and seen Corgis in action. Have you ever seen a Cardigan Corgi in Singapore.

Hi Micheal,
I guess the reason why huskies are so popular in Singapore might be due to the fact that it is 365 days summer here & Huskies remind us of winter?? haha i guess not, it is probly because they are highly advertised on discovery channel In Singapore our apartments are built & managed by the government, thus all the strict rules.
Regrading the cardigans....yes we have quite a number of them & all of them are members of & the cardis are all siblings
If you are interested to know more please go to this link for one of our gatherings ..http://www.dogsforum.sg/forums/index.php?showtopic=4648
